Before we get to the actual list, here is a word of caution to all those seeking to make money online:

There are many people who try to make money online...many, many people...from all over the world.

Some people fall prey to the advertisements that promise a one click solution...and offer fantastic earnings...all through a simple click of the mouse.

An old saying goes: “A fool and his money are quickly parted.”

The list I am publishing has many, many subsets attached to it...so, if you see a heading, keep in mind that there are often MANY other components hidden in that heading.



For example: MAKE MONEY BY BLOGGING!

Under that heading...there are many, many steps that must be taken over a period of time:

  • What are you going to blog about?
  • Where are you going to host your blog?
  • How often are you going to blog?
  • How are you going to promote your blog?
  • How are you going to make money from your blog (this is often phrased as: How are you going to monetize your blog?)
  • How long will it take you before you make money from your blog?

And it is fair to say that each one of these questions contains a set of specific answers, and each one of those answers contains a set of tasks that you will have to perform...to have any sort of realistic chance to make money from blogging.

With all that being said, here is a list of the things you can do to make money online:

  • Be persistent
  • Be patient
  • Be willing and able to invest money into your projects
  • Be teachable
  • Be honest

Oh, sorry...you wanted that OTHER list, didn't you?

Well, do a Google search, and type in list of ways to make money online...and you'll find all kinds of excellent results...loaded with helpful content...and each excellent site that you come to are going to say much the same thing, over and over.

I really hope you are catching this most salient of points: You can earn a decent living online...it is possible...but is it probable?

In my opinion...the best way to make money online is to find ONE thing...that makes sense to you...and dig into to it. Really master the various parts that are essential to making that ONE thing make you money.

Focus in on the ONE thing that sings to your heart...and get serious...even if the ONE thing is about making videos to post on Youtube...and those videos are of you being funny.

Whatever you decide to do online to make money, you are going to eventually run into the following facts of online life...you are going to need:

  • TRAFFIC coming to whatever it is you are doing
  • A way for the money to come to you
  • Some kind of content, product, service


Think about what this means to you...and begin to map out all the bits and pieces that are going to make your idea make you money online.

A current buzz word that is used for this process of planning is “mind mapping.” Go on and Google that word, and see where it gets you. Hey, there is a FREE idea for you to make money online...develop your own mind-mapping website, and offer various software packages that help people to...make mind maps!

But you'll have to mind-map your project...before you can...get going.

Okay, okay, I know, I know...where's that list of stuff you can do to make money online?

The following is NOT in order of what makes the most money online:

  1. Building content sites
  2. Creating mobile apps
  3. Selling info products and software
  4. Publishing on Kindle
  5. Affiliate marketing
  6. Offline marketing
  7. Flipping websites
  8. Video marketing
  9. Selling stuff on Craigslist and Ebay
  10. Freelancing
  11. Website building
  12. B2B Marketing
  13. Google adsense
  14. Amazon associate (sure, this is affiliate marketing)
  15. Rakuten linkshare
  16. Etsy
  17. Crowdsourcing
  18. Coupon harvesting
  19. Sell services you provide personally
  20. Sell services provided by other people
  21. Write paid reviews
  22. High end private coaching

This list has items that are the same as some other item on the list...for example: Number 19, “Sell services you provide personally,” and number 22, “High end private coaching.”

Number 19 is a general concept for you to make money online, and number 22 is very specific about what you could sell that you provide personally.

My big thought about this overall subject is that you probably want to make sure that whatever you do online...it gets to be something that you have a flicker of passion about doing.

Plus, you might want to consider the following attributes:

  • “IT” makes you a solid profit margin
  • YOU make the income with minimum labour, and/or...
  • “IT” is easy to outsource
  • YOU can scale whatever “IT” is
  • “IT” makes you passive income
  • YOU can make “IT” a saleable asset

Yes, yes...I know...you just want to sign-up for some free deal that will do everything for you...all that will be asked of you, ever, is that you register, once, and then...somehow, magically, the money will appear in your...pocket. Gee, this is such a great system...you don't even have to use a Paypal account...or anything. The money just pops into your pocket...and if you don't have any pockets...that's okay, cuz this MAGICAL system will deliver money to where ever you want...in the currency of your choice!
